19 century Art Website

Overview

The website project is aiming to provide a online platform for the students in School of arts, University of Michigan. The website contains several useful tools, like the map and Signts&Sounds. The project is lead by the professors of School of arts and School of Engineering, developed by several students from School of Information. The website has now being used in the lectures of School of arts, and is continuously updated every month.

I served as the web developer in this project, my main duty is to develop the website tools of map and Sights&Sounds. The difficulty of the project is we need to generate tons of data from the database and display it on the screen, therefore my team and I decide to choose Django Framwork to develop the website. The MVC model helps us to seperate codes from the data model and makes it easier to transfer the data to the webpage.
